Android Developer Challenge II Results announced
>> 01 December, 2009
Google today announced the winners of its Android Developer Challenge 2, a competition to create the best apps for Android-based phones. The overall winners are “SweetDreams,” a tool that lets you go to sleep without having to tinker with phone settings; multi-player game “What the Doodle!?”; and “WaveSecure,” a tool that protects a mobile user’s data and privacy.
The prizes are no small potatoes, either. In the just-completed ADC2, $100,000 prizes went to the winners in each of ten designated categories, with $50,000 for second and $25,000 for third. There was also an additional $150,000, $50,000 and $25,000 for the top three overall apps.
