As we reported earlier, Samsung Galaxy S was launched in UAE today. At the launch, Samsung also showed how Galaxy S could be used as Wi-Fi hotspot even as it was running on Android 2.1. Samsung really has some real cool things up their sleeves.
Samsung Social Hub last seen on the Wave is also present on ‘Galaxy S’, giving you always-on social network updates and bringing all that social media info in one place. The hanset also introduces Samsung’s ‘Smart Life’ which gives you handy info, like a ‘daily briefing’ widget for instant access to the news, weather and diary feeds, on the homescreen.
The unlocked device will be in the stores by the end of June for US$735. Samsung also stated that Galaxy S will be receiving the ‘Froyo’ update in about two months, well that’s not very far.
