Huawei MediaPad ICS update in works, images leaked

Huawei might not have officially announced that it is going to update the seven inch Honeycomb tablet MediaPad to Ice Cream Sandwich, but that does not mean company is not working on that. A recent set of photographs emerging from China have showcased MediaPad running on Android 4.0.1.

MediaPad obviously has the hardware to support ICS update, and it is just the matter of time that Huawei officially confirms the upcoming update. There is no time-frame right now, but considering Huawei’s recent gesture of releasing ICS Alpha for Honor, we might actually see an official ICS build for MediaPad soon.

ICS update will surely make this budget Android tablet more enticing. To remind you, Huawei MediaPad features a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 7 inch display, Android 3.2, 8 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM, microSD card slot for expansion along with rear and front cameras.
