Rumored Samsung Galaxy S III press invite leaks; May 22nd plastered all over it

If you take any stock in the image above, you may want to mark May 22nd on your calendar and keep a close eye here on AndroidOS.in. The folks over at Phandroid spotted this tantalizing image, which appears to be a press invite for an event in London that will be the glorious unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S III.

Of course, it does seem a bit odd that the invite would be going out so far in advance, so that leaves us with the question as to whether this is legitimate or not. At any rate, the SGSIII is undoubtedly one of 2012′s most talked about phones, so we don’t mind joining in on the speculation one bit.

If the pictured device actually is the Galaxy S III, it looks like Samsung has decided to take a completely different design approach with its new flagship device in comparison to previous Galaxy S models. The curved body seems a bit dramatic and there looks to be a small slot on the side of the device, which I can only pray will not be used for holding a stylus or S-Pen.

Also, you may remember the Galaxy Nexus hype coughing up similar rumored press releases that hinted towards a curved body. We all see how that panned out.

So, what do you think? Is this the real deal or is it a cleverly home-brewed fake presser that should be overlooked with a smile?

The info on it might be correct. The phone looks to have very-thin-bezeless edge-to-edge screen as rumored. Not sure.

    Looks pretty fake to me..
Why would they have a shiny metal back on S3? They’ll probably go with the plastic back like S2 to keep it light and slim. And I expect their press invite to be look much better in general.

Or is that the front side shown in the pic.. hmm..

Why would you not want the groove to hold a stylus?

The S-Pen is amazing on the Note, so the option to have it on the GS3 would be cool.

And if you don’t want the stylus, then there’s a groove there for you to have a better grip on the phone without accidentally touching the screen.

    Genius both ways.
