After a lot of teasers, ZTE has officially announced Nubia Z5 today in China. Claimed to be the thinnest 1080p phone in the market, Nubia Z5 is just 7.6mm thick. According to ZTE, the smartphone will go on sale next month i.e. January 2013 in China, but the plans for global release are still unclear.
Similar to what has been reported till now, ZTE Nubia Z5 comes with 5-inch IPS display with 1920x1080p resolution, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, and 3,000 mAh battery. The usual connectivity options are present – HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.0.
The smartphone has been priced at 3,456 yuan (approx $554) and will be sold in white and black colour options. Company is also developing a limited edition Titanium version, which will be sold for 7890 yuan.
