Posted by an Italian publication, these images of Galaxy Note 8.0 are not in line with a previously leaked image of the tablet, which means, only one of these is real unless both are pre-release prototypes being tested by the Korean manufacturer and only one of the will see the light of the day.
The S-pen slot is clearly visible in the photos, making it certain that we are indeed seeing a Note series tablet, not some other tablet from the company.
The Note 8.0 in these images seems to be keeping the Note 2 and S III design as well the physical home-button. The physical home button is certainly a first for Samsung, although we had seen the capacitive buttons in the first Samsung tablet, which ran on Android 2.2.
Rumours have indicated and even JK Shin has confirmed that we are going to see Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 launch at the Mobile World Congress next month. The tablet will come with a 1.6GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor, 2GB RAM, Jelly Bean and 8-inch 1280×800 display.
Another report, which appeared earlier today from Digitimes, puts the pricing around $249-$299, which would certainly make it a great Apple iPad Mini competitor.
