Micromax has quietly released a new tablet called Funbook P600 in the Indian market. Priced at INR 9,499, it is now available on Snapdeal.com. The key feature of this Android tablet is the 3G and voice calling support.

Micromax Funbook P600 comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8225A Cortex A5 dual-core processor, Android 4.0.4, 7-inch capacitive display, 2MP rear camera and front camera. The tablet also features Wi-Fi connectivity, 512MB RAM, 2GB of internal storage and microSD card support.

On the downside, there is no Bluetooth, GPS, or HDMI out. The tablet will be competing with Milagrow MGPT04 tablet, which also offers similar features and has been priced at INR 8,990.

Micromax has been having a pretty good stint lately. Just a day ago, it announced that it has sold 9,000 units of its latest launch A116 Canvas HD in 24 hours.

Still 512 MB RAM at higher price?? Very disappointing really, comparing with previous versions, I would prefer Infinity at less than half price even though single core as it’s cortex A9. I dont consider using my tab as a phone, so voice calling may be useful for some here but is that something soo important in a tablet pc??
Its the RAM that needs serious upgrade to improve direct user experience (most importantly web browsing) as 512 MB causes serious “heavy” lags during multiple opened tabs. Also no HDMI out like infinity – another big minus….:(
