Verizon to sell Droid Eris for $99.99 only

In what seems like a start of a price war in the Android based phone market, Verizon said on Thursday that it would sell ‘HTC Droid Eris’ running on Android operating system for only US$99.99.

Verizon is looking to put pressure on rival company Sprint Nextel with the recently launch of Droid Eris, a device looking very similar to HTC’s Hero phone, which Sprint currently sells for US$179.99.
