China Telecom launches Android powered ‘LifePad’

lifepadChina Telecom has announced the launch of its first Android powered tablet named LifePad, which has an embedded EVDO module and supports China Telecom’s 3G network.
The tablet has been manufactured by Mastone Communication & Electrical Development Company. It has decent specs, incl Freescale’s i.MX51 processor based on the ARM Cortex A8 core, 512MB DDR2 RAM, Front Camera for video chat, built-in 2GB NAND and 7-inch screen with 800×600 resolution. Android 2.1 operating system.
China Telecom said the LifePad has pre-installed applications, including email, electronic book, stock trading and navigation software.
