Admob’s acquisition by Google approved

Thanks Apple, you made it happen, By a vote of five to zero, the Federal Trade Commission has unanimously approved Google’s $750 million acquisition of mobile advertising platform AdMob.

FTC declared that it finds the transaction “not likely to harm competition.” The launch of Apple iADs was the key factor in this approval, because it gave FTC some bit of competition factor.

“As a result of Apple’s entry (into the market), AdMob’s success to date on the iPhone platform is unlikely to be an accurate predictor of AdMob’s competitive significance going forward, whether AdMob is owned by Google (Google) or not”
