Galaxy S coming as Samsung Captivate on AT&T

Samsung today launched the Android powered “Galaxy S” smartphone in US with AT&T. The phone has been renamed and redesigned as Samsung Captivate, however, it bears the same specs. This the third Android phone launched by the operator  in the country. Other two models are Motorola Backflip and HTC Aria. Samsung Captivate is one of the most advanced and powerful smartphone today available worldwide.
This feature filled smartphone comes with Android 2.1 on-board. Talking about the specifications, it comes with a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, 5MP camera capable of shooting 720p video, 1GHz processor, 8GB or 16GB storage (with microSD support too) and a 3.5mm headphone socket. The Samsung Captivate is scheduled for release in “coming months” .
