Google launches Open Spot to reduce your parking woes

Sick and tired of finding parking space every once in while. Well, Google has a solution for you. According to the latest from Google Labs, Search Engine Giant has launched Open Spot, Android app that lets you mark the spot in Google maps after you have left a parking space, so that others searching for parking can find it. The spots created by you are removed from the map after 20 minutes.
Nice initiative but it will take time to become a real helper.

Open Spot description from Google:

Open Spot works by letting people who are leaving parking spots share their spots with people who are searching for parking.
Start helping others find parking, and together we’ll all save time, save gas, and reduce pollution. Like to keep score? The more open spots you mark, the more parking ‘karma points’ you’ll get.
