Motorola sells 2.7mn Android phones in Q2


Thanks to Android, Motorola surpassed all the analyst speculations in the finished quarter. The company sold 2.7 million Android units out of its 8.3 sold million phones in the quarter, which is clearly inline with the 2.69 million expected by analysts.
While the numbers for Droid X are not included in the quarter, Motorola is expecting best for them .
“The Droid X launch has been very well received and is seen as one of the best smartphones in the market today,” said Sanjay Jha, Motorola’s co-chief executive.
