Verizon has finally made Motorola Droid 2 smartphone official. Droid 2, like its predecessor Droid, sports a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Motorola Droid 2 will be available at www.verizonwireless.com on August 11, and it will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores beginning August 12 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
As anticipated Droid 2 runs on Android 2.2, packs 3G Mobile HotSpot feature ($20 per month) and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
Verizon will also launch a limited edition R2-D2 Droid 2 that is designed to look like the famous robot from the Star Wars saga. The phone will also include Star Wars content, but will not be available until September.
Reminding you of the Droid 2 specs, it comes with a full multi-touch 3.7-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, DLNA connectivity, 8 GB of on-board memory and 32 GB SD card support.Motorola Droid 2
