Chrome OS to replace Android on Samsung Galaxy Tab?

We are hearing rumors that Samsung might be planning to update its Galaxy Tab to Chrome OS, when the OS arrives. This information has come from Sunday Times, which claims that the Samsung Galaxy Tab’s Android OS “can be replaced with Chrome, when that arrives, though owners who aren’t tech savvy should have this upgrade carried out by a professional”.

Considering that Samsung has itself announced that it will be updating Galaxy Tab to Android 3.0, the likelihood of Chrome OS update seems very very low. But given the Google’s comments about the readiness of Android for tablet, it may turn out to be possibility. The report doesn’t quote a source, but given the fact Google is working on making Chrome OS a tablet OS, after the Netbooks have started fading in oblivion [earlier they were the primary devices for Chrome OS], they might create a Android to Chrome switch kind of thing. Who know what Google & Samsung have up in sleeves?
