Google launches Android Phone Gallery

Remember when Google announced that it will be finally closing down its online Nexus One store, it said the URL: Google.com/Phone will become the hub of information about the available Android phones. Google has made it true, been dubbed as Google Phone Gallery, it’s a showcase of Android-powered devices that deliver the best Google experience today.

According to Google, All the phones in the gallery include Android Market, Google Search, and other Google Mobile services such as Gmail, Maps, and YouTube. There are tools that make it easy to compare phones side by side: you can filter phones by country, manufacturer, and carrier; view and compare technical specifications and features; and find where each phone is available for sale.

However on a downside, the country filter in the phone gallery has only 16 countries currently, we hope Google increases that number soon, otherwise the main purpose of this gallery will be defeated. It is more of an United States centric gallery right now, but lets see what happens in future.
