Google starts showing app prices in local currencies in Android Market

App Prices in INR

In a minor but important update to Android Market, Google today started showing the prices of paid applications in local currencies in market. This step was taken in the wake of inclusion of new countries in the paid apps support.

However the currency display is indicative only as the finally when you start paying for the device, it is charged in USD only. It seems Google has not updated that to keep uniformity rather than being caught in the ever changing exchange rates.

The local currency display helps end-users to determine how much exactly they will be paying to buy a specific application.
