T-Mobile debuts third edition of myTouch Android phone

T-Mobile today announced the launch of its second HSPA+ Android smartphone myTouch, which is also the third edition of its much successful Android smartphone.

It packs some real high-end specs to boost T-Mobile’s Android lineup, it features 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 CPU, 5 megapixel camera, 3.8? display, front facing camera and a pre-installed 8GB microSD memory card with Android 2.2 on-board.

According to the press release, it is an exclusive device designed and made by HTC for T-Mobile.

The new T-Mobile myTouch is expected to be available in time for the holidays in four colors —white, black, plum or red.

Some of the features of new T-Mobile myTouch:

  • This is the first time T-Mobile has offered live TV directly to consumers through a partnership wth MobiTV, some stations will be free, while others come at additional cost.
  • HD Camcorder with will allow users to capture and broadcast HD videos at 720p.
  • Front-facing camera enables video chat over WiFi or 3G to another mobile device or PC using Qik and Yahoo Messenger.
  • A “Media room” aggregates music, videos, T-Mobile TV, FM Radio and Slacker Internet radio in a single media player.
