Samsung has struck several content partnerships around the globe to provide optimized content for its first Android tablet. In the same series, Users across Australia will get the paid app of “The Australian” free and pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The app will be free on the Galaxy Tab for two months in deals struck with most mobile carriers. After that, users will be able to subscribe to get the app for $8.99 a month, or a six-month subscription for $36.99.
“It’s very good distribution for us,” The Australian’s deputy chief executive Nick Leeder said. “The people who are likely to be buying these devices are going to be a natural fit for The Australian.”
