Vodafone launches HTC Desire HD in Australia for free with contract

As we reported yesterday, Vodafone has launched Desire HD in Australia today. HTC Desire HD will remain exclusive to Vodafone/3 forever; you will not be able to get it on any other carrier.

Coming to the pricing, Vodafone is selling it for free with a contractual Aus $59/month for 24 months.  There is no outright buying option, so you will have to enter into a contract.

HTC Desire HD comes loaded with 4.3-inch [800×480 display], a 1 GHz processor and an eight-megapixel camera, Desire HD leads the pack of HTC Android phones internationally right now.

@Khara We did not talk about the availability dates in the post, coz Vodafone did not announce the final ones. Normally its one-two weeks to reach smartphones in market after the official launch.
Same in Desire HD case, It will be available from early November.

I live in Australia and I talked to Vodafone and they dont have any HTC D HD phones in available in stores. I called up customer service and they said they are going to start taking pre-orders this week and it will be Free on caps starting at $49 for 24 months. So its still a bit of a wait.

P.S. Where did you get your information from?
