Send free SMS from your Android phone to India, Asian countries

Offer applies to countries including Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and more

In an effort to popularize its services, Vopium, a VOIP solution provider, is providing its users an opportunity to send free SMS text messages to most Asian counties.

For this you need to download their application from Android Market, application is easy to install, and in addition to the free SMS service, Vopium also offers low-cost international calls.

You can send free text messages to India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan and Indonesia.

Vopium works via Wi-Fi and from your PC, where the offer is completely free, as well as from the mobile network where, depending on subscription type, there may be a small data charge to the provider. For subscribers with a flat data rate, the offer is, of course, absolutely free.

yeah i guess its not supported in india. Even if it is, its a limited period offer or limiting the number of sms to around 15 or something… someone needs to check it out. It ain’t enticing for me.
