Sharp launches 3D Android Phones in Japan


Sharp has launched two 3D display Android smartphones in Japan. These two smartphone “GALAPAGOS Softbank 003SH”, and the “GALAPAGOS SoftBank 005SH” use 3D liquid crystal display to create a dynamic 3D effect that can be viewed without special glasses.

Running on Android 2.2, the specifications include 3.8 inch [800×480] ASV LCD, 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor, 802.11 b / g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and microSDHC slot. Most the specifications are same in both the smartphones, the only difference is camera, while Sharp GALAPAGOS 005SH comes with 8 MP camera and a flip QWERTY Keyboard and compact 4way directional pad, 003SH has 9.6 MP camera .

Availability:

Galapagos 003SH will be released in early December, while Galapagos 005SH in mid-February 2011.

Capcom has announced the 3D versions of their games Mega Man, Ghosts ‘n Goblins: Gold Knights, and Resident Evil: Degeneration, and 7 3D movies for these phones including Shrek and Despicable Me.
