Speaking at the Barclay’s Capital Global Technology Conference today, Intel CEO Paul Otellini said that 35 tablets powered by Intel’s Moorestown and Oak Trail Processors will be launched by several manufacturers starting the first half of next year.
All the 35 tablets won’t be running on Android, but we are expecting a sizable number of them on Google OS. The Android tablets are said to be having Moorestown at the core, while Oak Trail will come in Windows tablets.
On the smartphone front, Intel is still struggling to get the right core, but it has not left hope, and it is working on a processor code-named Medfield, which will arrive on second half of next year. Again here also, we are hoping to see Intel Medfield in a number of Android smartphones.
