ViewSonic launches ViewPad 7 and 10 in India

ViewSonic today launched two Android tablets ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 10 in India. These tablets will be available in the market around mid-January, 2011.

“The ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 10 are designed to meet the rapid growth of mobile internet access and communications demands around the world,” ViewSonic Technologies India Sales Head Kuldeep Ramaiya said.

ViewPad 7: ViewSonic’s 7 inch Android tablet comes with a 600 Mhz processor [that’s a deal breaker], Android 2.2, 512 MB Internal Memory, 7 inch multi-touch display, 3MP rear camera with VGA front camera, 3G and Wi-Fi. Company has priced ViewPad 7 at Rs 32,000.

ViewPad 10: ViewSonic’s 10 inch Android tablet comes with dual boot support, it also lets you run Windows 7 on it. Surprisingly company has put Android 1.6 on the tablet, which seems a big let down. Other specifications include Intel Atom 1.66GHz processor, integrated 1GB of memory, 16GB SSD hard drive and expandable micro SD slot, 10 inch 1024×600 LED, and 1.3 MP camera. It has been priced at Rs 38,000.

Thanks, Nitin
