As internet continues to erode the print medium, News Corp has launched its first Digital-only publication – The Daily. At present, it will only serve iPad. However, conscious about the emerging Android tablet market, the company expects to make the service available on other tablet devices as well.
“We have license to experiment, the ability to innovate,” owner of The Daily Rupert Murdoch said. “We believe the Daily will be the model for how stories are told and consumed.”
The publication will cost 99 cents a week or $39.99 a year and will feature general news, sports, arts and opinion sections, along with high-definition video and 360- degree photos.
With growing popularity of Android tablets, it is indeed impossible to not launch “The Daily” on Android.
