Xoom priced at $600 with contract on Verizon

Android 3.0 Honeycomb backed Motorola XOOM will be available for purchase from Verizon Wireless for  USD 599.99 with a new two-year customer agreement or USD 799.99 without a contract starting Feb 24.

Xoom has a 10.1 inch HD display with 1280×800 resolution, 1GHz dual-core processor, HDMI out, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera for 720p video capture and 2-megapixel front-facing camera, built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer and adaptive lighting. Motorola Xoom supports up to 10 hours of video playback.

    The Xoom, Is too expensive. You can get an Ipad for $500. And soon the iPad2 will be out. What if it came out for $400. I think Motorola needs to get it’s cost down to compete with apple…
