Motorola Xoom India launch on May 10?

It seems we finally have something on Motorola Xoom India launch. Online retailer Infibeam has listed Motorola Xoom for pre-order and mentioned May 10 as the launch date.

It has put a price tag of INR 35,000, which is in line with what we are seeing in other countries, but is lower than Samsung Galaxy Tab’s initial India price of INR 38,000. It would be interesting to see the market response on this pricing.

To refresh your memory, Motorola Xoom is the world’s first Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb powered tablet and has got rave reviews from techies. It is powered by nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and comes with 1 GB RAM, front/rear cameras, 32 GB internal memory and 10.1-inch widescreen HD display. Other features include built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, and accelerometer.

Infibeam’s track record isn’t great about pre-order listings, so we have contacted our sources and will update once we receive a confirmation.

Update: Wow, we expected this, as soon as we made some news and reached our sources, Infibeam has taken down the Pre-Order page. We have confirmed from our sources, Motorola has not decided the price or even the launch schedule for India.

Update: The pre-order page is back again.

Is it the 3G version or the Wi-Fi only one?
