Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc now on preorder in India for INR 29K

For those who have been waiting for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc to come to India, there is good news! Company is sticking to the earlier announced launch schedule of April. Xperia Arc today went for pre-order on Flipkart and it has been priced at INR 28,999, which is pretty much in-line with what we were expecting.

Flipkart has put an April second week availability date for the smartphone, so we are expecting an official Indian launch around the same time.

Xperia Arc may not be a power-house, but this incredible looking Gingerbread powered smartphone will certainly get a lot of buyers in the country. Sony Ericsson has come a long way since the update fiasco last year, and is promising timely updates now.

Talking about Xperia Arc features, it is only 8.5 mm at the thinnest point, features an extra wide 4.2” multi-touch screen, 8.1 MP camera with HD video recording support, Android 2.3, 1500mAh battery, and 1 Ghz Qualcomm processor. It will also be the first phone to come with ANT+ support.
