Samsung Galaxy Tab to get Gingerbread update soon; Honeycomb?

There is good news for Samsung Galaxy Tab users. Vodafone Australia has tweeted that it has received the Gingerbread test builds for Samsung Galaxy Tab, which makes it clear that we will soon get to see Android 2.3 update elsewhere too.

We expect that unlocked units will be first to get the Gingerbread update, so India might not be far behind in that department. There is no word about the goodies in the Gingerbread update for Galaxy Tab.

But after the upcoming Gingerbread update, Samsung Galaxy Tab will have to be very lucky to get Honeycomb otherwise company would have been working directly on Android 3.0 rather than wasting time on Android 2.3.
