Acer Iconia Tab A500 Vs Asus Eee Pad Transformer Vs Toshiba’s upcoming Tab

This is the season of Android tablets, but the first Honeycomb tabs Motorola Xoom and LG Optimus Tab have disappointed a section of users because of their prices. There is still a second crop of Honeycomb tablets that bear similar specs but have been priced decently.

    Droidweb,

    I agree with you! I have been waiting to get my hands on the Asus, since it was first announced, however, when it went on sale in the U.S. it sold out very quickly and I can’t find it stocked anywhere! So, I just purchased the Acer, but I am considering taking it back because the reviews on it just haven’t been where I thought they would be.

    There’s a bit more to comparing the tablets other than the specs which you’ve outlined here. A major portion of the tablet experience is the custom software stack built on top of Honeycomb. Acer’s software stack has been called subpar by all its major reviewers, while Asus’s is considered far better. However we’ll see how many people hold out for better software as the Transform is nowhere to be found in stock and I’m sure there will be ROMs coming out for the Iconia soon.
