Microsoft asks Samsung to pay $15 for every manufactured Android phone

According to Korean media reports, Microsoft has asked Samsung to pay USD 15 for each Android smartphone it makes. Samsung is likely to negotiate this number down to USD 10 in lieu of its deeper alliance for Windows Phone 7 devices.

Reason: Samsung along with other Android manufacturers use wide range of patents as a part of Android, which are being held by Microsoft.

Microsoft already has a similar deal with HTC, and company is getting significant money – more than its Windows Phone sales. After Samsung deal, the revenues will go further high – considering Samsung is soon expected to be the number one smartphone maker.
