Samsung hires Steve Kondik aka Cyanogen

In one of most important news from Android hacking scene, Steve Kondik aka Cyanogen has announced via his Facebook profile that he now works for Samsung Mobile. This lead developer and founder of CyanogenMod also stated that his side project CM is not affiliated in any way with this employer.

There is no word on how this will impact CyanogenMod, but there shouldn’t be much. CyanogenMod is a result from community of devs, with Steve contributing significantly to it.

We wish Steve a very best for his new Job, continue the good work.

Eagerly waiting for CM 7.1. Any idea when the stable is expected?

I like Cyanogen Mod, in fact, i use to use Froyo 2.2 on my HTC Wildfire way ahead of HTC made update available for it. Currently using Cyanogen Mod Gingerbread 2.3.5 on my Wildfire, and very much satisfied.

All the very best to Steve Kondik aka Cyanogen.
