Acer has shown off company’s first NFC Android smartphone in France and will go on sale by the end of year in the country; company has also hinted that all of its future Android smartphones might be released with NFC hardware.
According to several reports, Liquid Express looks a lot like Liquid E and runs on Android 2.3 along with a 3.5 inch display and 5MP camera. It also features 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The pricing or exact availability details are still scarce but we hope to hear more soon. Coming back to company’s intention to put NFC hardware in every Android smartphone from now, it is interesting to see this decision from the Taiwanese manufacturer, considering the fact that NFC payment systems still have to pick up outside Japan. Though, we would love to see the strategy succeed.
