Android Market movies now available in Canada

After United States, now Canadian users can rent movies from Android Market directly. The service, which was announced earlier in the year, allows Android users to rent movies from the Market app and then watch it on any Android device running 2.2 or above.

Google gives users a 30-day “Rental Grant Period” and once you press play on the movie, you get 48 hours to finish watching.

While you will be able to stream videos instantly similar to services like Netflix, a “pinning” feature is also available to let you download movies in the background for offline playback later when there is no data connection.

According to Mobilesyrup, which broke the news, there is a decent and solid selection of flicks, most range from $3.99 to $4.99 and there’s even a Canadian titles available under each category.
