Google TV 2.0 update coming on November 8?

We finally might have a date for upcoming Google TV 2.0 update. This update is likely to be based on Honeycomb, but chances are the Google might have directly jumped to ICS due to the delay.

According to AndroidGuys, Google TV 2.0 update will be released at Streaming Media West 2011 on November 8. Head of Content for Google TV Donagh O’Malley is scheduled to speak an hour-long session called Google TV Demo: The New World of Smart TVs and even the session description hints towards the update.

Attendees will also see an overview of Google TV, including the latest developments on the platform, the killer apps, and what lies ahead.

We already have the final Google TV add-on for Android SDK, and have got two teases – one from O’Malley himself and other from official Twitter account. So, this better be the final release date.

From what I read, it looks like the update will be out before the event and the event itself is to promote the things that will be coming to Google TV 2.0. But I’m just speculating, and it looks like that all you guys are doing as well.
