It is not Nexus Prime; it is Galaxy Nexus, clicked photos surface on Google+

If you liked the Nexus Prime moniker for the next Nexus device, it’s time to let go of that. According to Exif data revealed in a couple of images on Google+, next Nexus device will be termed as Galaxy Nexus not Nexus Prime. These images were taken by two Google employees, one of them is an Android engineer.

This is the first major confirmation of the name and coming from the Google employees, we can be sure that these are Galaxy Nexus images.

As Google+ uploaded images are automatically resized to 3MP, you will not be able to see the real quality of the camera, but according to previous leaks Galaxy Nexus will come with 8MP primary capable of 1080p video recording.

@puja, Yeah Android is such a junk that 50% of the smartphone market uses it, the NASA is using it to manage its satellites, the most modern TVs are adopting it and certain devices starting with i are lately adopting many of the features that have been on Android for months/years.

Well…for the record, Nexus prime’s original name is Samsung Galaxy Nexus from the beginning, you can check any top tech site, they were already aware of it. As its a Google+Samsung product, they code named it Nexus Prime. Nothing to be surprised. When I posted the news about this Smartphone few days back, i used to call this Samsung Galaxy Nexus only. Surprise to see you guys didnt even have the clue about it.

I think the reason behind calling it galaxy nexus is “nexus” is still immature as a brand, unknown to naive general population out there. i was shocked when someone said”why are u so interested in nexus prime. its google’s first device anyways as a MANUFACTURER. why take risk?” first nexus cellphone?? manufactured by google?? people don’t even know samsung is behind nexus prime.. Adding galaxy to nexus will give better exposure and help “nexus” develop some brand value. personally, i would prefer “nexus prime” though.
