Nexus One has become too old for folks at Mountain View that they have decided they will not be officially updating this Nexus smartphone to Android 4.0 also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. One ray of hope might have lost, but we still have developers waiting to get their hands on the source code to start building ICS ROMs for Nexus One. The SDK port is already in progress.

This disappointing news came from Google’s Hugo Barra, who confirmed that same to The Telegraph. According to Barra, Nexus One hardware was simply too old to sun Ice Cream Sandwich, really Google?. Nexus One was first announced in 2010 on January 5 as the first Nexus device and was manufactured by HTC.

On the other hand, Barra reconfirmed that Nexus S ICS update is in work, and will be pushed in time for Christmas.
