Dell India drops Venue price to INR 18,500

If any of you still remember Dell Venue, here is a quick update about smartphone’s pricing in India. Dell India has slashed the price of Venue to just INR 18500 in the country.  I don’t recall the last pricing of Venue, but it was somewhere in the vicinity of INR 22K, so it is a considerable drop.

At this price, Dell Venue seems to be a nice deal apart from the presence of FroYo and absence of front cam, which is a bit of let-down unless Dell updates the phone to Gingerbread. Venue features a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 4.1 inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass, 8MP camera and 1400 mAh battery.

Look-wise, it won’t make you regret, rest is up to your personal choice.

This is having Adreno 200 GPU which is outdated, since smartphone at 15-20K price range should be equiped with Adreno 205 GPU which is 2-times faster than original. I think Huawei Ideos X5 is much better choice with Adreno 205 GPU at 13.5K price with Android 2.3.7 which is supported by MIUI team (unofficially at XDA).
