Google TV gets Google Music app

Google has released its Music app for Google TV, giving another reason to go for it this holiday season. This app syncs with your existing music in the cloud and you get all your songs on your TV. You can run the app in the background and continue with your other tasks in the foreground.

According to Google TV blog, you can also add a custom soundtrack to slideshows from the Photos app, you can enjoy your favorite tunes while surfing the web, or you can just add some mood music while you peruse the latest news headlines, all from the comfort of your couch.

All you have to do is to sign up at music.google.com, if you haven’t already done so and upload your music in cloud or simply purchase the music via Android market and it automatically appears in your cloud storage.

Google TV is promising more such updates and apps in the future. So, don’t worry Google TV is not dead yet.
