Samsung UK confirms Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S II

Not that we doubted Samsung that it will not update Galaxy S II to Android 4.0. But it is always good to get the information from an official statement. Company’s UK Twitter account confirmed today that Galaxy S2 will indeed get the update.

It also stated that there are no confirm dates as of now, so don’t get too excited as it might take some time.  Samsung was the first company to get access to ICS source code as it manufactured Galaxy Nexus, so we would expect it to pass on the update much faster than other manufacturers.

Ice Cream Sandwich will surely make an already great smartphone even better. We will be updating you guys as soon as we hear any more details.
