Android 2.3 Update Roundup – Droid Charge, Motorola Milestone X

Huawei Ideos X5 wasn’t the only Android smartphone that got the much awaited Gingerbread update yesterday. There are two more phones that received Android 2.3 update in the United States – Verizon Droid Charge and Cellcom Milestone X.

Both the updates are available over the air, so you don’t have to go through the pain of manually applying them.

Motorola Milestone X Android 2.3 Upgrade Changelog Highlights:

  • Improved Battery Life
  • Downloads Management
  • Improvements for: Calendar, camera, contacts and security

Droid Charge Update Changelog Highlights:

Apart from the normal Gingerbread goodies, which are mentioned above the Milestone X update highlights, Droid Charge’s Gingerbread update will also include:

  • Enhanced security like SD card and device encryption
  • Improvements in GPS, Web Browser, HDMI output, Audio output, device performance and the stability of the phone.

    When vl this irritating motorola vl roll out gingerbread update for defy? Even Huawei is rolling out gb for its low cost handset, but motorola is still sleeping (ditto like economy of country to which it belongs)….
