LG announces Optimus Pad LTE, coming to South Korea first

LG has officially announced the launch of its new Honeycomb tablet called Optimus Pad LTE. As the name suggests, it comes with the LTE connectivity and will sport 8.9 display size same as the predecessor.

Company has stated that South Korea will be the first country to see the release, but there is no word on launch in other countries. LG Optimus Pad LTE features 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm processor, 1280 x 768p resolution IPS display, 32GB Internal memory, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 6800mAh battery and Android 3.2. It will also support HDMI, DLNA.

“With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it’s not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity. The combination of LG’s LTE technology with the tablet form factor is a clear advantage for consumers who use a tablet as their primary consumption device when on the move.”

– Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications
