It has been a long time since we last published a guide on the best budget Android phones in India and during this period many new smartphones reached Indian shores and increased the number of choices available to the consumers.

Today, we will talk about the select few sub-INR 15,000 smartphones that you should consider before making your next purchase decision. We will divide this in two parts, one for INR 10,000 to INR 15,000 and other for below INR 9,999. Current market prices have been considered to make this cut, which can always change so take these prices as the rough guidelines only.

Best Android phones in INR 15,000 to INR 10,000 price category:

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman:  Sony Ericsson (soon going to be Sony) has really stepped up its game in the last one year and company launched smartphones in almost every category and these were some really nice devices. It is also the only company that has promised to give Ice Cream Sandwich update to all the smartphones launched in 2011 and our first recommendation for under-15K Android phones is also going to get the update. Powered by Android 2.3 currently, it features 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, 512MB RAM, and several audio enhancements.
