Samsung has announced Galaxy Beam projector phone today along with Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. This is not the first time; we are hearing the Galaxy Beam name, company has introduced Android powered Galaxy Beam back in June 2010 too, but at that time, it was only released in Singapore then Samsung scrapped the phone without any reason.
Now, Korean manufacturer seems to be taking another shot at it and has packed in some decent specifications. Galaxy Beam features Android 2.3, 4.0 WVGA TFT display, 1GHz dual core processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal memory, 2000mAh battery and 15 lumens projector.
“GALAXY Beam provides mobile freedom, enabling a unique shared experience around digital content for everyone—anywhere and instantly—from a smartphone as slim and portable as any on the market,” said JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, in a statement.
