Handcent SMS updated to version 4.0 with Handcent Talk services and new UI

One of the most popular SMS messaging applications available for Android, Handcent SMS, has just received a pretty sizable update. The latest version of the app is 4.0 and brings along with it the introduction of the Handcent Talk service — a new instant messaging service which allows you to register for free and log in using your Handcent credentials to begin chatting with other Handcent Talk users.

    But what does it use? Sms? Data? Does this count as an sms to someone on your network because i only have unlimited sms to verizon

    I am having a problem with this I try to activate service it tells me Sorry, activation of the testing phase has reached, we will open the activation later.

      Unfortunately, it looks like they have temporarily disabled the service. We will continue to monitor this for updates.
