Google Project Glass debuts, wearable augmented reality glasses are real

Google has unveiled its long rumoured augmented glasses experiment as Project Glass today.  The launch was accompanied by the release of the first video teaser of company’s vision of augmented visual aid.

Company has revealed a few tentative designs of what these augmented realty glasses might look in the reality (one of which you can see above). None of these designs is currently official as the company is still looking for user inputs to improve them further.

Coming out of Google’s secret X labs, Project Google Glass is search giant’s version of what technology should be doing for the consumers. It stated on the official Project Glass page that technology should be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t, Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment.

There is currently no word on the actual launch of the retail version, but we are waiting. How many of you are looking to get chance to grab these “straight out of a sci-fi movie” glasses.
