This is how I see Samsung: They are the first ones to bring in innovation for any of their products .. phones included, they advertise fabulously, they even provide three or perhaps more features for a lesser price than it’s adversarial product from rival co. and they somehow manage to sell in millions … they get their consumers through aggressive and sleek posturing in the market. Even their TV ads have higher-than-prevailing volume for ads. I have nothing against this strategy … my only point is that “discerning” consumers will keep analysing the device long after it has been purchased and THIS IS WHERE SAMSUNG FALTERS BIG TIME according to me and I have had personal experience which is why I can say this. HTC too was going on similar lines before I personally saw and spent time with their One X at Croma. The One X is a new HTC and I admire them for this stupendous effort and … fyi, I was never a fan of HTC. But I change my opinion based on how not only the performance and feature matters to me as a discerning buyer but also the form-feel-ergonomic factor which I give a lot of importance to and sadly, Samsung’s hardware has never matched up with the cheap materials they use and the ergonomics is almost always not of value to Samsung. For SIII they must use classy material and delve into ergonomics .. which .. according to other websites .. they haven’t. Why they leave it to advertising in the hopes of hogwashing consumers into buying their products is unbecoming for an otherwise super co. Once they mend this flaw, I’ll certainly commend Samsung for a good product. This flaw seems to have gone in the new avatar of HTC and this is why I think HTC One X is a superior product and soon enough I am hoping they come up with a product to match the credentials of SIII.

If you see HTC’s new ONE series, you’ll be stunned by the build quality and the superb attention to details. Samsung as usual comes up with plasticky, tacky material that works well for few months and then you are left with a shoddy product – SIII is no exception. This should have been released way back – they just made a big noise about something that HTC can beat anyday now. My Chinese made MP3 player that costs ten dollars would have better build quality than this, am sure.

one x is plasticky too with polycarbonate casing.. almost all the guys commentin here havent even seen the phones live

        (May 5, 2012 - 7:50 pm)

I have personally seen the HTC One X and the workmanship and build quality are the best I have personally handled on a phone. Well crafted device from an ergonomics point of view .. although personally I prefer a 4.3″ phone. You can see the difference yourself when SIII comes out.

stop behaving like a child if that material is that much bad then why are on this article don’t comment be happy with your htc …..if you are giving your opinion then you should hive them after testing both devices untill then don’t show that you know everything.

            (May 6, 2012 - 6:23 pm)

Haha .. I seem to have unwittingly hurt you but just do ensure that you read other websites too and see what they have to say about SIII & HTC One X. I personally give importance to form also and I find Samsung phones to be very tacky, cheap and plasticky and I see a whole lot of experts saying the same. But lets wait for SIII to come out … you’ll read it yourself. Moreover, am sure you can judge for yourself at that point.

yes…me too…its better to go for htc than this one for sure..
