Reliance Communications has released an upgraded version of the 3G Tab today. Carrying the same name, the tablet improves on the display resolution and processor, but is a big letdown on the operating system front.

The all new Reliance 3G Tab comes with 1.4GHz processor, Android 2.3 and 7-inch display with 1024x600p resolution, which is also present in the Lenovo IdeaPad A1. The Lenovo tablet went on sale recently in the country.

Other features of the Reliance tablet include 512MB RAM, 3MP rear camera, front camera and Wi-Fi connectivity.

According to RCOM, the 3G Tab buyers will be getting benefits worth INR 6,250 with every purchase include Free 3GB of 3G data for 3 months, 3 months Free video calling for Local and STD to Reliance 3G, Free voice rental for 12 months (Postpaid) along with Free Global calling worth Rs. 250, 1 year free subscription on McAfee Mobile Security, 2 months free subscription of BigFlix, and a Free 4GB micro SD card.

The tablet will soon go on sale in Reliance stores and other leading retail store across the 13 circles where company is currently providing 3G services.

Reliance 3G Tab is pre-loaded with the most popular Google applications (Gmail, YouTube, Maps and Search), popular news sites (ET, TOI & NDTV), entertainment services (BigFlix, Reliance World Online, Reliance TV), social networking services (Facebook, Twitter and Orkut) in addition to the suite of thousands of applications provided through the Google Play Store.
