LG details Optimus Vu II, launches it in South Korea

After teasing Optimus Vu II at the IFA trade fair, LG has now officially announced the device in South Korea. It has been priced at 966,900 won ($864), but there is no word on global availability yet.

The LG Optimus Vu II runs on Android 4.0 and features a 5-inch IPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and 1024x768p resolution. It comes with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front camera, 3GB internal storage and 2150mAh battery.

Under the hood, the Optimus Vu II is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 processor and has 2GB RAM. The smartphone-tablet hybrid will come with a Q Remote app to control home appliances, Q memo, Q translator app that recognises 44 languages with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) through the camera lens, Q slide app for smoother multitasking and an upgraded Rubberdium Pen 2.0 stylus with a thinner tip for more accurate writing.

Users can choose black, white and pink flavours of the device that will also have a One Key accessory, which will help users locate their Vu II if lost.
