16GB Nexus 7 goes out of stock at Google Play

Unsurprisingly, the 16GB version of Nexus 7 went out of stock at Google Play earlier today. We have been hearing rumours and even saw the 32GB Nexus 7 go on sale prematurely and it seems Google is planning some price correction, so it is apt to stop selling Nexus 7 16GB version until it announces the 32GB version officially.

The device is currently listed as “coming soon.” This comes after Google had recently stopped selling the Nexus 7 8GB version in Google Play.

We have also previously seen US retailers like GameStop and Office Depot listing 32GB version of Nexus 7 at $249 and dropping the price of 16GB version to $199, which makes us believe Google might be preparing to list the Nexus 7 32GB and drop the price of 16GB version, but when is this going to happen, remains a question.

It would have happened late today, but now that Android press event has been cancelled, we would have wait and see, how Google goes ahead with all this.

We might also see the debut of rumoured 3G version of Google Play soon.
